How to Measure a Floor standing Headboard
Measuring a floor standing headboard is crucial to ensure it fits your bed and suits your bedroom’s dimensions. Follow this guide for accurate measurements:
3. Measure Your Bed Frame
- Width: Measure the width of your bed frame from edge to edge.
- Standard bed sizes and their typical widths:
- Single: 90 cm (36 inches)
- Double: 135 cm (54 inches)
- King: 150 cm (60 inches)
- Super King: 180 cm (72 inches)
- Standard bed sizes and their typical widths:
- Ensure the headboard width matches or slightly exceeds the bed frame width for a balanced look.
4. Measure the Desired Height
- For a floor standing headboard, measure from the floor to the top of the desired height.
- Typical floor standing headboard heights range between 50Â inches to 54 inches or more, depending on the style and preference.
- Ensure it complements the height of your mattress and does not obstruct windows or wall decor.
5. Room Space Consideration
- Ensure there is enough space between the bed and the wall to accommodate the depth of the headboard.
- Measure surrounding furniture or obstacles to avoid overcrowding.
Tips for Measuring Accurately
- Use a reliable tape measure for precision.
- Write down all measurements and double-check for accuracy.
- Consider the headboard style (e.g., flat, tufted, or arched) as this may influence height preferences.
By measuring accurately, you’ll ensure the floor standing headboard fits seamlessly with your bed and enhances your room’s style!
